Grayson Waller Recalls Low Point On WWE Main Roster: 'I Was A Little Upset'

WWE NXT Champion Grayson Waller has found his footing on the developmental brand, becoming more confident in his WWE future as a result. However, he believes his main roster run left much to be desired, and he looked back on that chapter of his career during an interview with "Cheap Heat." According to Waller, he realized his main roster run was losing steam during WWE's visit to Australia last year. 

"I'm the Aussie Icon," he said. "We've got Rhea [Ripley] and Bronson [Reed], but no one reps Australia like I do. No one does media for Australia like I do — I've got the flag on all my gear. I love where I'm from." Grayson was told that, despite there being three shows in Australia, there was "no story" in place. 

Instead of making it onto one of the main TV shows, Waller wrestled Rey Fenix for "WWE Main Event," and claims he got the biggest reaction of the night. "It felt great to be like, 'I told you. I knew if you put me in the places that I was supposed to be, this could've been huge.' I was a little upset that we had three shows and you didn't have a spot for Grayson Waller," he said.

Reflecting on his exclusion that weekend, Grayson claimed the entire ordeal only motivated him to prove himself even more to WWE and to make sure that the next time the promotion visits Australia, he has something important to do on the card.
