M By Elegance Retains Knockouts TV Title In First Defense On TNA Impact
In her first test as TNA Knockouts Television Champion, M By Elegance defended the title against Kiera Hogan on Thursday's episode of "TNA Impact." M arrived with The Elegance Brand by her side, while Allie accompanied her fellow Knockouts Tag Team Champion in Hogan.
With a 10-minute time limit enforced, M and Hogan immediately locked up, with the latter surprising the former with a roll-up. Hogan continued her offense with a hip attack and step-up leg drop. M shifted it into her favor shortly after with a blockbuster off the top, followed by a Rearview in the center of the ring. She then kept it going by nailing Hogan with a double dropkick.
Hogan eventually answered back with a series of kicks and forearm strikes that left M staggering. A hip attack and single leg dropkick then earned her a near fall. When Hogan looked to hit Face the Music, however, M denied it and stunned her with a codebreaker.
The closing moments of this title match saw Hogan evade a moonsault from the defending champion, then land a missile dropkick. A successful superkick and back elbow from Hogan followed, but before she could land a springboard, M yanked her out of the air. The Elegance Brand member quickly dropped Hogan with a piledriver to officially retain her title.
M captured the TNA Knockouts Television Championship by defeating Jada Stone in the tournament finals on August 27. Looking ahead, the new title itself will be exclusively defended on "Impact" programming.
