If Randy Orton was listening, then he should heed Cody Rhodes' words after his sit-down interview with veteran commentator Michael Cole on Friday's "WWE SmackDown." Uncompromised and hellbent, "The American Nightmare" had more telling words to say after his interview went off the air, which WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recorded then published on X [formerly known as Twitter].

In the extended footage, Rhodes and Cole shook hands before they embraced in a hug. The veteran reporter thanked the former three-time Undisputed Champion, saying that he thought their one-on-one interview went well. Rather than extend the polite gesture, Rhodes, in a stage whisper, told Cole, "When it happens again, I'm going to kick his f**king head off."

Earlier on this week's episode of "SmackDown," for the first time since his devastating loss at the hands of Orton at Sunday Night's Main Event, Rhodes reflected on where he goes from here. Highlighting how he "took the torch" from stars like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and John Cena, Rhodes promised he won't fall nor make that same mistake twice with Orton.

The mistake he was referring to was not punting the former 14-time World Champion when he had the chance to two weeks ago. During their match, as he was about to, Orton stopped Rhodes, begging and pleading for him to think twice about it, only to play possum and hit Rhodes where it really counted for the pinfall victory.
