Latest Report On WWE's Broadcast Plans For Worlds Collide In Chicago
This upcoming Saturday, WWE x AAA Worlds Collide will take place from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, an event many fans have been excited for with CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and Penta all scheduled to compete on the card. However, shortly after some matches were announced for the show, it was reported that Worlds Collide would not broadcast live on Saturday, but rather released on a later date. The news came as a surprise to many, especially with WWE scheduling Worlds Collide on the same day and in the same state as AEW All Out, but following the negative response to the event being taped, there has apparently been a broadcasting change.
After speaking with multiple WWE sources over the weekend, Andrew Baydala is reporting that the current plan is for Worlds Collide to stream live on YouTube this Saturday. Originally, YouTube or Club WWE were the rumored services where fans would be able to watch Worlds Collide if it was taped. However, if the event airs live, the show will begin exclusively on YouTube at 8:00 PM ET, meaning it would start an hour after All Out begins.
Some of the biggest names in WWE are expected to appear at Worlds Collide this weekend, as AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio has announced a stacked card for the show. In the presumed main event, CM Punk, Mysterio and El Grande Americano will take on Omos, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. Additionally, AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina is set for her first title defense against Roxanne Perez, while Penta and Rey Fenix reunite as The Lucha Brothers against Los Perros del Mal.
Elsewhere on the card, Axiom, Je'Von Evans, EK Prosper and Mini Vikingo will compete in a Number One Contendership Match for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship, and Fatal Influence will enter battle with Las Toxicas. Moreover, Dragon Lee has a date with Jack Cartwheel in singles action, while Mr. Iguana, La Parka, Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada go head-to-head with Mini Abismo and Vanity Project. 2026 King of the Ring winner Oba Femi is also expected to appear on the show.
