Garrett Borden (Son Of Sting) Wrestles First AEW Match

Both of Sting's sons, Steven and Garrett, have followed in The Icon's footsteps and kicked off pro wrestling careers. While both brothers are in their 30s already, Steven has had a faster trajectory than Garrett, already appearing alongside their father Sting at AEW All In: London 2026 and currently tagging with Darby Allin on AEW television.

At the same time, Garrett has been establishing himself as a singles wrestler too, and over the weekend, he took part in an AEW dark match. In a video shared on X, Garrett is seen competing in a match ahead of "AEW Collision," rolling out of the way of a top rope splash from Kiran Grey, who he competed against. Garrett then takes Grey down, delivering Sting's signature Stinger Splash before hitting an Inverted Suplex to win the match, with the setup teasing a Scorpion Death Drop.

AEW commentator Jim Ross recently commented on Garrett's ability as a wrestler on an episode of his podcast. According to Ross, he's only heard good things about him during training, highlighting Garrett's reliability in the ring while expressing that he isn't surprised to hear that he followed in his father's footsteps. Ross also noted that he's met Garrett many times, praising his temperament and proclaiming that he thinks the second-generation wrestler has the makings of greatness.

While Steven and Garrett have broken into pro wrestling on their own, their paths are set to overlap. After a match at Dustin Rhodes' Rhodes Wrestling Association, Steven got into the ring to save his brother from an attack by both Timur The Great and Oday Al-Saleh, leading to an announcement that the Borden brother will team up at the promotion's next event on November 8.
