Former WWE Star Sanga Reportedly Arrested In India

Last week, former WWE star Sanga (Saurav Gurjar) was arrested on charges of alleged sexual exploitation. According to The Times of India, Gurjar was arrested at the Mumbai Airport and was brought in to Hyderabad by the Gachibowli Police, where he is currently being held in judicial custody for the next 14 days.

According to the complaint, the charges were filed by a woman on August 15 that Gurjar was having an extramarital affair with. The complainant alleges that the two of them first met over Instagram in 2021, and immediately began a relationship while Gurjar traveled between the United States and India. In the report, she cited that Gurjar informed her that he was already married, but would eventually settle down with her. He even promised to give the complainant what he called "wife-like rights." However, when the alleged victim brought up marriage, Gurjar was quick to block her on the phone and social media.

The complainant also wrote in her complaint that she and Gurjar lived together between October 2025 and March 2026 before ceasing all communication. She alleges that she suffered mental harassment, emotional distress, and financial loss, including losing her job, after Gurjar insisted that they both started a business together in India. She left her job in the United States to be with him.

Since the case was filed, the Gachibowli Police issued a Look Out Circular on Gurjar. He was brought before the magistrate last Thursday after immigration officials identified him.

The former WWE star joined the Stamford-based promotion in 2018, where he'd remain until his release in April 2024. He was notably known for his tenure in "WWE NXT," as well as being part of Indus Sher with Veer Mahaan and Jinder Mahal.
