Tony Khan Gets Coy About Prospect Of Former WWE Star Mara Sade Debuting At AEW All Out

AEW CEO Tony Khan hasn't let on much about the signing of Mara Sade, formerly known as Jakara Jackson in WWE.

Speculation about Sade's move to AEW intensified recently when her official website listed her as being part of AEW, though the listing was later removed. Khan was asked about the former WWE star and the possibility of her featuring in the open challenge for the TBS Championship during the pre-All Out press conference. He acknowledged that Sade is a talented star but didn't divulge any further details.

"Well, she's a great young wrestler. We have not seen her in AEW to date, but she's somebody that we're definitely very familiar with for many reasons and is a tremendous young talent," Khan said. "So, I would suggest that you stay tuned, and you never know. She's somebody that is of great interest and is a very compelling young prospect. So, in her case, she's definitely somebody to keep an eye on. Thanks for asking."

After the website error, reports confirmed that Sade has been signed to a full-time deal by AEW. She reportedly had an offer to join TNA Wrestling, where she featured after her WWE exit. Sade first appeared in TNA last March, while still under contract with WWE, and wrestled under the ring name Jakara Jackson. A few months later, she returned to the promotion, now under the name Mara Sade. Her last TNA match came last month, when she faced Heather By Elegance in the quarter-final of the TNA Knockouts Television Championship tournament.

Sade could debut in AEW and answer AEW TBS Champion Persephone's open challenge, which can't be answered by three AEW stars — Thunder Rosa, Maya World, or Hyan. Aside from Sade, two other former WWE stars, Dani Luna and Kairi Sane, have also been linked to answering the open challenge.
