Triple H To Dragon Lee After WWE Raw Match In Mexico City: 'I Need You Here Long Term'

Rumors about Dragon Lee's contract have been swirling the last couple of weeks. Lee's contract is reportedly expiring soon, alongside his brother, AEW's Dralistico. The pair reportedly trademarked "Hermanos Lee", which has sent rumors into a tailspin. In 2022, Lee signed a unique contract with WWE one day after he and Dralistico defeated FTR at a AAA show. They immediately vacated their AAA World Tag Team titles after the match.

He recently competed in the tournament to crown a Number One contender for the World Heavyweight title. He defeated Dr. Wagner Jr. in the first round and while he fell to Rey Fénix in the next round, he had an impressive match. When "Raw" emanated from Mexico for the first time in 15 years, Lee had a fantastic match challenging Chad Gable for the Men's IC title.

While he came up short against Gable, he clearly impressed Paul "Triple H" Levesque. During the match, Lee connected with a tope suicida that blasted Gable off the Spanish announce desk and sent them crashing into the barricade.

WWE posted a video on the road with Levesque and he's seen speaking with Lee following the match. Backstage, Levesque embraced Lee and said, "dude, f***ing bada**!" Hey, do me a favor though? That table bump? Keep that s*** special. That's a now and then one. I need you here long term, not short term, yeah."

During his time in WWE, Lee has held the NXT North American Championship, Men's Speed Championship, and the WWE World Tag Team Championship with AJ Styles.
