Dax Harwood: It's 'Almost Undeniable' That AEW Is The Home Of Tag Team Wrestling

As tag teams like the New Day and Motor City Machine Guns have left WWE, AEW's tag team division continues to grow stronger. That fact was put on display at last month's AEW All In, with the Young Bucks, FTR, Cope & Cage, MCMG, and New Level (as New Day is now known) all coming face-to-face at Wembley Stadium. Speaking to SBNation, Dax Harwood of FTR emphasized the division's current strength.

"It's more exciting in AEW now than it's ever been in our whole time here, and that's the honest-to-God truth," he said. "I think it's almost undeniable to say that AEW is the home for tag team wrestling." 

In addition to the aforementioned teams, Harwood went on to list other prominent duos in AEW, from the Gunn Club to the Rascalz, whom he acknowledged is coming to take FTR's spot on the roster. 

"On top of that, you also have some of the greatest tag teams of all time. Obviously FTR, The Young Bucks, and Cope and Cage, but now with the Austin Creed and Kofi, you've got The New Level, one of the greatest tag teams of all time," he continued. Harwood then praised the Motor City Machine Guns, noting that they could also make the claim that they're the greatest tag team of all time. "So if you got five of the top tag teams in the last 30 years in one company under one roof, with some of the greatest young talent in the world!"

This weekend, at AEW All Out, FTR is set to face Cope & Cage and the Young Bucks in a three-way ladder match, with the World Tag Team Championship on the line.
