WWE HOFer JBL Says AAA Star Reminds Him Of Eddie Guerrero

Across his wrestling career, Eddie Guerrero earned a reputation as an in-ring expert with loads of charisma, winning over fans that would continue to honor him long after his passing. Guerrero's former WWE rival John "Bradshaw" Layfield believes that one current AAA star has some of those same qualities — Daga of Los Perros del Mal.

"This guy is an absolute, freaking rockstar! You got to watch this guy give a promo," he stated during an episode of "Something To Wrestle," sharing his belief that Daga can even win over fans who don't speak Spanish. "That guy's awesome! He reminds me a lot about Eddie Guerrero, you know? The same kind of style, the same type of promo. Maybe that's where he got it from."

Los Perros del Mal reformed this past June, with Daga at the head of the faction. He'd been a member in previous iterations of the stable, which was initially formed by the late wrestlers Perro Aguayo Jr. and Hector Garza. Alongside Daga, WWE's Karmen Petrovic, Bronco Nima, Angel Garza and Berto form the current lineup of the stable. Since the group's reformation in AAA, they've made a statement by attacking El Grande Americano shortly after his Noche de Los Grandes win against Chad Gable, captured the AAA World Trios Championships, and targeted the reunited Lucha Brothers, Rey Fenix and Penta.

"I love Perros del Mal," JBL continued. "It's kind of the Mexican version of the [Fabulous] Freebirds, is what it is. These guys are selling so much freaking merch right now."

This weekend at WWE X AAA Worlds Collide: Chicago, Los Perros del Mal members Daga and Berto will take on the Lucha Brothers, bringing their rivalry into sight of more fans.
