WWE's Joe Hendry Wants To Wrestle Dream Opponent In Scotland

Joe Hendry has achieved quite a bit in recent years, but he is already looking toward his next big goal, naming a world title match as his dream and revealing the star he would like to face.

Hendry is a former world champion, having held the TNA World Championship during his time with TNA Wrestling. Now a part of WWE, the Scotsman was recently interviewed by "SA Live," where he was asked about his dream match. Hendry said that wrestling for the world title in his home country would be a dream, while naming CM Punk as the person he would like to face in that scenario.

"That is a great question. I'm proud to say I've had some of my dream matches, but you know what, it doesn't get any bigger than fighting for the World Championship. So, I have to say I would say facing someone for a championship in Scotland would be a dream for me," said Hendry. "But if I could pick any individual member of the roster right now, I'm going to go for CM Punk."

The Scottish star has held one title in his WWE run, winning the NXT Championship earlier this year, but has yet to win a championship on the main roster.

Hendry, who was called up to the main roster earlier this year, has yet to share the ring with Punk. The Scotsman is currently on "WWE Raw," a part of the brand's mid-card, while Punk is at the top of the card over on "WWE SmackDown," which makes a potential clash between the two a little tough. But it seems that Hendry is learning from Punk, as well as other major WWE stars, including Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, in his journey to the top.
