Will Ospreay Comments On Hitting Pac's Black Arrow Finisher On Tribute AEW Dynamite
Wednesday's episode of "AEW Dynamite" was a tribute to Pac. The show opened with emotional comments from Excalibur and followed with a promo from Jon Moxley and the last time Pac was ever on AEW cameras. A 10-bell salute preceded matches from many of those closest to Pac, alongside tearful tributes. Will Ospreay and Ricochet's match was a love letter to Pac in the ring, filled to the brim with callbacks to previous matches. Ospreay connected with the Black Arrow, one of Pac's finishers, to score the victory.
After the match, Ospreay took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to say he practiced hitting the Black Arrow for hours. "Got to the arena at 2 PM and was in the ring til doors opened practicing. I haven't performed the Black Arrow for 8 years. Something told me this is the night I could make the jump. I threw my heart out in front of me and Ben caught it. Thank you, Pac."

Fellow AEW star Maya World quoted Ospreay and wrote, "the whispers of "come on will (sic)" & eruption at talent viewing when he hit it. Pro wrestling is so magical, thank you PAC!"

On Instastories, Ospreay shared posts of reactions to him hitting the Black Arrow. "Love seeing the reaction videos to the Black Arrow. Honoured that I could've given so many people that loved Pac one last look. I hope that was the emotional release everybody needed and I'm so grateful I could've given that to you. No where near as good as Bens (sic) but that's what made him so special. One of one. Thank you all," he wrote.
On his podcast "What Happened When?" AEW commentator Tony Schiavone said he believes that the move should be retired.
