Touching tributes continue to pour in following the sad news of Benjamin Satterley's death last weekend. Some fans knew him as Neville, a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Others knew him as PAC, a two-time AEW World Trios Champion. In the case of Chris Jericho, he was able to call Satterley by both ring names.

One day after All Elite Wrestling honored Satterley with a special "AEW Dynamite" tribute show, Jericho issued his own heartfelt words for the late performer on YouTube. The wrestling veteran recalled fond memories of working with Satterley in WWE and AEW, the former in which they also shared an inside joke.

"People have been talking about how great of a performer he was, which he was, and how great of a person he was, which he was even more. But Ben always made me smile, always made me laugh," Jericho said. "Great sense of humor. As a matter of fact, the first time I was ever around him was on a tour bus in Europe. I was sitting a couple seats behind him as we were on the road, and he was ferociously debating his favorite comic book character, Billy Whizz. It kind of became a private joke between us, Billy Whizz."

Jericho also remembered his first time wrestling Satterley at a WWE live event in Tokyo, Japan in 2015. "We tore the house down," Jericho said, adding that afterward, he personally called WWE officials to praise Satterley and encourage them to do something creatively with him on television moving forward.

Jericho Recalls Memorable Match With Neville In New York

More matches between "The Man That Gravity Forgot" and "Y2J" emerged in 2016, two of which occurred on "WWE Raw." It was their live event match in Glens Falls, New York, though, that continues to stand out to Jericho.

On July 16, 2016, Jericho and Satterley wrestled at a house show in New York City's Madison Square Garden, but according to Jericho, it didn't pan out exactly how they wanted it to. Fortunately, their rematch the following day did, and even seemingly exceeded their expectations.

"We had a match again the very next night in Glens Falls, New York, where we tore the house down," Jericho recalled. "I remember saying, 'Man, I wish we could have had the match tonight, last night in MSG.' He said, 'Yeah, but then the people of Glens Falls wouldn't have gotten this classic match. They'll never forget this classic match.'"

Their final faceoff took shape at a WWE live event in Chicago in September 2016. Two years later, Jericho and Satterley both departed from WWE. In early 2019, they then reunited under the banner of AEW.

"When we first started putting AEW together, Ben was one of the first guys that I called to recruit him to come to AEW and tell him how great of a company this was," Jericho said. "When he finally came and joined us, he was nothing but the best of the best. I love you, man. I'm going to miss you. We had so many great times together. Some scary ones, too. But I wish there was so much more."

Satterley's last overall in-ring performance pitted him against AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out on September 26. The following day, AEW announced that the Death Riders member had died.
