Jon Moxley To Defend AEW Continental Title At WrestleDream

After challenging Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship at All Out, Jon Moxley is set to defend his own Continental Championship at AEW WrestleDream next weekend. It was revealed on "AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Paris" that Moxley will defend his gold against the Don Callis Family's Mark Davis.

The match was revealed after Davis teamed with stablemate Jake Doyle to get the victory over Moxley and his fellow Death Rider Gabe Kidd. Moxley most recently defended the Continental title against Orange Cassidy on "Dynamite: A Tribute to Pac" last week.

Moxley also successfully defended the gold against Nigel McGuinness in the finals of the AEW Continental Challenge at All In London at the end of August. He's held the title for 284 days, as of Tuesday.

The match joins a steadily expanding lineup of bouts for WrestleDream, set for Orlando, Florida on October 17. The AEW World Championship will be defended in a new stipulation match, Clockwork Carnage, which Samoa Joe has already qualified for. The Young Bucks are also set to defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher.
