The penultimate "TNA Impact" before the promotion's Bound For Glory pay-per-view saw viewership decline by over 10%, while viewership reduced too.

The October 1, 2026, edition of the show was taped at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. According to "Wrestlenomics," viewership dipped below the 200,000 mark, with the show averaging 182,000 viewers, which is significantly lesser than the previous week's 207,000 viewers that the show drew. In fact, the previous three editions of "Impact" drew more than 200,000 viewers each, with two averaging 207,000 and the September 10 episode drawing 232,000.

The key demographic ratings weren't encouraging for TNA either, as the figure fell to just 0.02, down from the previous week's 0.03. This is the second time in two months that "Impact" has recorded a rating as low as 0.02, with the previous instance occurring on the August 20 episode.

The October 1 show began with a TNA X-Division Championship qualifying match, in which BDE defeated Mr. Elegance to earn a spot in the six-way title match at Bound For Glory. The show ended with TNA's newest entrants, Syx, the duo of Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer, explaining why they attacked TNA stars backstage and vowing to end The Hardys at the weekend's pay-per-view.
