Riyadh Airport Evacuated Following Latest Air Strike Ahead Of Planned WWE Crown Jewel
After coming off a very successful premium live event (PLE) on Saturday with Money in the Bank, WWE needs to direct its utmost attention to its next PLE event Crown Jewel (on Saturday, November 7), but most especially, the location of where it will be held, after the latest round of attacks that occurred in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday.
Calling it the deadliest attack in any Gulf Arab country since the Iran war occurred, a missile strike was launched at the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, leaving over 300 injured and 12 dead, including a United States citizen. At this time, all airport operations have been suspended. Following this attack, The U.S. Embassy Riyadh announced that there will be flight cancellations, and once again urged all U.S. citizens to avoid this airport and its surrounding areas.

Since the attack overseas occurred during the morning hours here in the U.S. (8 a.m. EST), WWE did not advertise its upcoming event during Saturday's broadcast of Money in the Bank. In previous reports, WWE did confirm that it does have contingency plans in place for Crown Jewel, though the backup locations of where it could be held from were not disclosed at this time.
