Jacy Jayne Says She Cried Watching This WWE MITB Cash-In
Professional wrestling is full of emotional moments, especially when babyface stars finally reach the top of the mountain. Ahead of WWE Money in the Bank, women's ladder match contender, Women's United States Champion Jacy Jayne sat down with "The Wrestling Classic" to talk about her favorite cash-in moment. Jayne said hers was a recent memory, which came at WWE WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.
"When Damian Priest cashed in at WrestleMania, I was in the audience," Jayne said. "Now, I know him and we're friends, and it's like really funny looking back on this. But, I actually cried. Just because I knew his story about being on the indies and how long it took him to get there. He was never like the 'first round draft pick,' so to say. So, for him to get the briefcase, A, was a big deal. And then B, to cash in at WrestleMania, like I could only imagine how he was feeling in that moment. When I heard the crowd erupt, it just made me emotional. There's something about genuine crowd reactions that makes me really, really emotional."
Priest cashed in on Drew McIntyre, who had just won the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins moments before, but McIntyre was taken down by bitter rival CM Punk, who was on commentary, following his win. "The Archer of Infamy" would go on to reign with the title for 188 days.
While she didn't capture the briefcase in her first MITB attempt, Jayne had an impressive showing at the event in 2026. It would be Tiffany Stratton to ascend the ladder and grab the guaranteed title shot for the second time of her career.
