The October 9 edition of "WWE SmackDown," which was the go-home show for the Money in the Bank PLE, witnessed the highest viewership for the show in two months.

"SmackDown," which was held a day before Money in the Bank in Louisiana, saw average viewership grow from 1,250,000 for the previous week's show to 1,352,000 viewers for the October 9 show, "Wrestlenomics" reports. This is the highest average viewership for the blue brand since the August 7 show, which drew 1,470,000 viewers. Last week's episode also surpassed the four-week average of 1,249,000 viewers.

Viewership among the key 18–49 demographic also grew, with the rating rising from 0.27 for the October 2 show to 0.32 last week. This is the joint-highest rating for the show in the past two months, matching the figure recorded on August 21. The August 7 episode, meanwhile, drew a rating of 0.35.

So far, viewership and ratings for the blue brand have been significantly higher this October than during the same period last year, with viewership up 22% and ratings rising by an even larger 25%, according to the report.

The upcoming "SmackDown" will take place at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, with two singles matches confirmed for the show — Nikki Bella vs. former teammate Paige, and former tag team partners R-Truth and Damian Priest facing off. Also on the show, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes will come face-to-face, continuing their rivalry which has gotten incredibly bitter.
