Well wishes are in order for Bruce Prichard after it was announced by Prichard's co-host on "Something to Wrestle," Conrad Thompson, that the Hall of Famer will undergo neck surgery soon.

"Bruce has been dealing with a neck injury," Thompson revealed on the "83 Weeks" podcast. "It turns out that Bruce is going to have to have some surgery on that rascal. And he hadn't been having the best quality of life recently. He's on the mend, he's doing rehab and all that jazz, but he's hurting for certain."

What's interesting to point out is that Prichard's neck injury isn't new; rather, it's a 35-year-old injury that progressively got worse over time. Back in 1991, Prichard, playing his well established managerial role as Brother Love, was attacked by The Ultimate Warrior during a taping of the now defunct "WWF Superstars." Prichard was unaware of the severity of it until recently.

In his absence, Hall of Famer John Layfield (JBL) has stepped in on Prichard's behalf for the "Something to Wrestle" podcast. New episodes are uploaded every week. Outside of his podcast duties, Prichard also serves as WWE's current executive director of creative writing and talent under Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque. He's been absent from his backstage role since WrestleMania 42 after it was revealed that he was recovering from a back injury.
