WWE Star Royce Keys Opens Up About Being The 'Face Of' The 946
With great power comes great responsibility. Royce Keys knows that concept very well as he's currently living it out on WWE programming as the leader of 946.
During a recent interview with "Busted Open Radio," Keys opened up about his position as the "face of" 946, a group that's calling shots and wreaking havoc on the "WWE Raw" locker room.
"I'm a natural born leader," Keys said. "And so collectively, I wanted these four with me. You look at the great leaders of every faction in this business. The stuff you see with us, like arriving together, working out together, that's all us. We do that in every town. So it is my responsibility, the big brother role, to look after everybody, scold everybody, make sure we're all learning. They can teach me some things, and I'm going to teach them some things. So we're one unified unit."
Last week, the 946 lineup was elevated to five members: Keys, Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, Jaida Parker, and Carmelo Hayes. The latter made his presence known in the "Raw" main event, which pitted 946 against the Bloodline's Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa. Hayes unmasked himself, then helped beat down the Bloodline members with a crowbar.
Jaida Parker marked her arrival by running over Jacob Fatu with a car and proclaiming "Ain't nobody safe." Nima and Price emerged alongside Keys in the stable's original reveal, which again targeted the Bloodline, in August. Parker, Nima, and Price's 946 onboarding coincided with their official call ups to WWE's main roster.
