Backstage Report On Injury Suffered By Stephanie Vaquer At WWE Money In The Bank 2026
Though she was seen sporting crutches on the "WWE Raw" after Money in the Bank last week, Stephanie Vaquer won't be out of commission for long.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, "La Primera" did suffer a legitimate ankle injury after unsuccessfully defending her WWE Women's World Championship in a triple threat match against Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank. After her match, she was seen hobbling out of the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. However, the former champion wasn't out for long, as she recently competed in two matches during the Hawaii Live Tours over the weekend. Prior to her return, reports indicated she wasn't expected to miss a significant amount of time.
Last month, in her home country of Chile, Vaquer captured the Women's World Title off of Morgan during their non-televised match. Her second reign; however, ended before it even started, when Morgan recaptured it for the fourth time in her career, nearly one month after losing it. Meanwhile, Lynch is eyeing her moment in the sun to become a six-time world champion. She and Vaquer verbally squared off over their lack of respect for one another last Monday, with Vaquer teasing her animosity toward "The Man" is far from over.
