Former AEW VP Accepts Position With MLW

After seven years, Mike Kitlas is no longer the Senior Director of Live Events for Court Bauer's lead promotion, Major League Wrestling.

According to Fightful Select, it's been confirmed that AEW alumni Rafael Morffi was hired on as Kitlas' replacement just last month. Back when AEW first launched in 2019, Morffi joined the Jacksonville-based promotion as its vice president of live events and touring before departing the company in 2023 for a senior executive position at the Barclays Center.

Returning to traditional pay-per-view programming, MLW is just five days away from holding its annual fall event, Saturday Night SuperFight, in Cicero, Illinois. Fans may purchase the pay-per-view through VEEPS at $19.99 ($24.99 if you buy it the day of).

As of this report, six matches are scheduled, including the MLW World Heavyweight Champion Killer Kross defending his title against Josh Bishop in a Last Man Standing contest. Despite previous confusion on her status within MLW, "The Undeniable Diamond" Tessa Blanchard will be in singles action against luchadora Keyra.

Also, two other title matches will take place, as The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) will defend their World Tag Team Titles against GBOT (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) in a Chicago Street Fight, and Austin Aries will put his National Openweight Championship on the line against Matt Riddle.
