Update On Injury Status Of AEW Stars Following Blood & Guts
November 4, 2026 saw the return of All Elite Wrestling's most violent stipulation as the 2026 Blood and Guts edition of "AEW Dynamite" took place in Jacksonville, Florida. It was a night that saw Darby Allin get thrown off the top of the cage to the floor below, Megan Bayne bleeding more than she ever has before, and every weapon one could imagine being used, from tables and chairs to light tubes and pliers.
Naturally, such a match will take its toll on the wrestlers involved, but while there were some bumps and bruises, Bryan Alvarez reported on "Wrestling Observer Radio" that there were no real injuries coming out of either Blood and Guts match, and everyone is practically fine. "There was some scary things in both of these matches actually. I was told that everybody is fine." There were fears from some backstage that Darby had suffered an injury during the fall from the cage at the end of the show, but it reportedly looks to be superficial, though Alvarez noted that Darby was already in a lot of pain heading into the match as he had just ran the New York City marathon. Darby didn't train for the marathon but still did it anyway, though he reportedly regrets not at least having some training before the race.
The women's match saw Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata, and The Brawling Birds defeat The Triangle of Madness, Persephone, and The Sisters of Sin, with Statlander forcing Julia Hart to surrender after wrapping barbed wire around her face and neck. For the men, The Don Callis Family defeated Adam Copeland, The Young Bucks, Darby Allin, Steven Borden, and Will Ospreay as Copeland surrendered on behalf of his team before Fletcher could stab Ospreay in the head with a screwdriver.
