Rey Mysterio Announces High-Profile Match For WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2026

A high-profile match is coming to WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

On the latest episode "What's Your Story," AAA General Manager and Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio revealed that a battle of the countries will take place at the November 28 premium live event.

"I had a couple of words with Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis. We are going to put together something very special: a classic five vs. five Survivor Series match at Survivor Series where it will be Team USA vs. Team Mexico," Mysterio said. "... Very excited because I was able to break some of those barriers coming into ECW, then WCW, then eventually WWE. And to see where lucha libre is at now, it's like wow, I never thought it would take such a big impact like it has."

As of this writing, the competitors for the Team USA vs. Team Mexico clash remain a mystery as Mysterio, "WWE Raw" General Manager Adam Pearce, and "WWE SmackDown" General Manager Nick Aldis are still putting its pieces together. WWE Survivor Series: Survivor Series will emanate from Daikin Park in Houston, Texas on Saturday, November 28, 2026. WWE acquired AAA, a lucha promotion based in Mexico, in 2025.

Another match reportedly expected for the PLE is a five-on-five WarGames Match pitting members of The Bloodline against 946. With the latest addition of former TNA World Champion Cruz Montana, 946 now boasts five male members plus Jaida Parker. The main roster Bloodline, meanwhile, consists of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
