How Was This Week's WWE RAW Viewership With Roman Reigns' Announcement?
Monday's WWE RAW, featuring the final red brand hype for WWE's Evolution pay-per-view, drew 2.548 million viewers. This is up 6.3% from last week's 2.397 million viewers and the best viewership since the post-Hell In a Cell episode in mid-September.
This week's show featured a main event with Dean Ambrose and WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins winning the RAW Tag Team Titles from Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler plus an advertised appearance by DX. The show opened with Roman Reigns relinquishing the WWE Universal Title and announcing his battle with leukemia, which may have boosted interest and helped viewership in the first second hours as they were up more than usual.
For this week's show, the first hour drew 2.609 million viewers (last week's hour 1 – 2.490 million), the second hour drew 2.622 million viewers (last week's hour 2 – 2.482 million) and the final hour drew 2.413 million viewers (last week's hour 3 – 2.216 million).
RAW was #10 for the night in viewership on cable, behind the NFL's Monday Night Football, Monday Night Kickoff, Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight, SportsCenter at midnight, The Ingraham Angle, The Story, Special Report and The Five. RAW was #4 in the 18-49 demographic this week, behind Monday Night Football, Monday Night Kickoff and SportsCenter.
The NFL's Monday Night Football topped the night in the 18-49 demographic and in viewership this week, for the seventh week in a row. The Giants vs. Falcons game drew 10.325 million viewers. Monday Night Kickoff came in at #2 with 4.168 million viewers and SportsCenter came in at #3 in the 18-49 demographic with 2.792 million viewers.
Dancing With The Stars drew 7.273 million viewers on broadcast TV in the 8pm hour while The Neighborhood drew 6.370 million viewers, The Voice drew 9.375 million viewers, The Resident drew 4.780 million viewers and Arrow drew 1.182 million viewers, all in the 8pm hour on broadcast TV.
