Dave Meltzer Says It's 'Pretty Clear' These Matches AEW All In 2024 Are In The Works

As the road to Wembley Stadium becomes a little shorter, the card for AEW All In on August 25 is starting to become a lot more clear.

At the time of writing, AEW Women's World Champion 'Timeless' Toni Storm is set to defend her title against her former protégé Mariah May, and Swerve Strickland will defend the AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in what looks to be one of the "American Dragon's" final big matches before he calls time on his full-time career. More matches are set to be announced in the coming weeks, and following on from the July 20 edition of "AEW Collision," Dave Meltzer believes that two more big title matches will be confirmed for the big event. Here's what he had to say on "Wrestling Observer Radio."

"They built up Jack Perry and Darby Allin. It's pretty clear it's going to happen for the TNT Title at Wembley. It's pretty clear we're going to get another Young Bucks/FTR match at Wembley — which surprised me because I thought it was going to be Young Bucks and The Acclaimed. But FTR did a promo that certainly made it sound like that they were going to be getting a tag title shot there."

Allin and Perry have crossed paths many times before in the past, even facing each other for the AEW TNT Championship on an episode of "AEW Dynamite" in 2021 while Allin was the champion. However, since Perry joined The Elite, the two men have done whatever they can to put each other out of action indefinitely. As for The Young Bucks, they lost to FTR at All In in 2023, and will have to get past The Acclaimed, who have a guaranteed shot at the AEW Tag Team Championships in their back pockets.
