MVP Offers Update On The Hurt Syndicate's AEW Return
The Hurt Syndicate haven't been seen on AEW television in months, but MVP offered an update on the stable on Wednesday ahead of "AEW Dynamite." He took to social media to tell fans they'd be back soon, but didn't offer a specific date.
"The coolest thing is that we are back together in @AEW and we'll be back in action SOON!" MVP posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) alongside a photo of himself with Lashley and Shelton Benjamin walking down the ramp. "Hurting people!!! #wehurtpeople #fashionablyviolent"
Benjamin and Lashley were last seen together in the ring when they competed against one another in the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW Full Gear to determine the first AEW National Champion. As a trio, Hurt Syndicate competed on an episode of "Dynamite" in October when they challenged The Opps for the AEW World Trios Championships.
Lashley reportedly suffered an injury in December, but denied he was hurt in an interview at the beginning of March. At the end of 2025, Fightful Select reported the star was injured and would be out for "quite a bit of time." No specifics were given about the injury, however, and Lashley said he wasn't hurt, despite those reports, and said he wanted to target the Don Callis Family and the World Trios Championships once again alongside MVP and Benjamin.
Since Lashley has been on the shelf, for whatever reason, Benjamin has competed a few times. He was part of the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal back in December, and he wrestled a match on "AEW Collision" before losing a Continental Championship eliminator match to Jon Moxley on the January 7 edition of "Dynamite."
