Amazing Red Recalls Being Pulled From WWE's Cruiserweight Classic Due To Injury

Amazing Red is one of the most prolific modern day wrestlers that was ahead of his time and inspired so many wrestlers that are seen on TV weekly and his Code Red is utilized by many. After wrestling at Slammiversary, Frankie Kazarian announced that he'd be inducted into TNA's Hall of Fame in October

Many have wondered why Red was never signed to WWE. On "Insight with Chris Van Vliet", Red revealed he was supposed to be in the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016 and he thought it was his opportunity to get signed. He got asked to be in the WWE2K video game a week before CWC started. "That's like doing five matches at once. You're not bumping on a pillow, you're bumping in the ring." He was doing AJ Styles' spiral tap and he had to do it multiple times for them to get different angles. He had a gut feeling that he needed to stop, but they wanted one more. "I jump and everything just blacks out to me and I don't know where I'm at, so I just jump. Instant darkness and I just hear this (snaps fingers). And I wake up and I'm on the crashpads and my leg is backwards." His foot went in between where the crashpads connected. He didn't feel anything and everyone was just looking. Once he saw his leg, he felt instant pain.

He was bitter about a previous situation with CM Punk and a situation related to No Way Out, so the CWC was his last ditch effort. He was angry at time, but looking back now Red believes breaking his leg was the best thing that ever happened to him because he got closer to his family and God. He believes if he had been signed then, he would've lost his family. WWE told him not to talk about what happened because he was supposed to be brought back, but he wasn't.
