AEW To Debut In New Country With Grand Slam Event Later This Year

AEW's series of Grand Slam events has seen the stars of All Elite Wrestling perform in cities like New York, Mexico City, Sydney, and Brisbane, but mainland Europe has yet to have an "All Elite" experience. However, that will change this October when AEW travels to France for the very first time.

As first reported by the Sport Business Journal, All Elite Wrestling will present AEW Grand Slam France on Tuesday, October 6, at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France. AEW Grand Slam France will consist of two television tapings, one episode of "AEW Dynamite" and one episode of "AEW Collision" in a state-of-the-art arena capable of holding up to 8,000 people that was only opened in 2024.

The event marks the first time AEW has ever traveled to France, a country that has played host a number of high profile WWE events in recent years. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan knows that France has become a hotbed for professional wrestling as of late, and told the Sports Business Journal how excited he is to finally bring AEW to such a passionate wrestling country. "There are so many great wrestling fans in France, and a lot of fans from France have made the trek to London to see AEW, and we believe there's a lot of excitement around All Elite Wrestling in Paris, and it just felt like this would be the perfect time to launch with a huge event." Khan also stated that he is hoping to bring more AEW events to France in the future.

Someone else who is looking forward to the event is the man who could potentially be the AEW World Champion by the time AEW Grand Slam France takes place, Will Ospreay. He also spoke to the Sports Business Journal about how he's excited to bring a new brand of wrestling to a set of fans that have been starved over the years. "I just know the moment that we go over there and the bell goes off, the French fans are going to let us know they want us to keep coming back."

Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, August 28, at 10AM CEST, with exclusive pre-sale opportunities available via the company's official website through its AEW Insiders service.
