Bully Ray Wonders If 'Experiment' With This Newly-Returned WWE Star Is Already Over

After coming out of the gates firing when he returned to WWE earlier this summer, Big Cass was dealt a loss this past Monday on "Raw" when Je'Von Evans pinned him in a three way qualifying match for the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match. And the fact that Cass was pinned instead of the match's other participant, Austin Theory, and the way he was pinned had Bully Ray wondering on Tuesday's "Busted Open Radio" if WWE had already decided to cool Cass' push.

"He held him up in the rack, walked around with him, and then caught him with the cutter on the back end," Bully said. "You just manhandled a seven footer and you can't teach that. Well, Je'Von Evans just taught Big Cass how to lay on his back and look at the lights. I'm wondering if the Big Cass experiment is already coming to an end."

Bully was further troubled by how Cass was manhandled throughout the match by both Evans and Theory, and how Cass was also finding himself already wrestling on WWE's shoulder content show "Main Event." Even still, the finish of this match, and the fact that other options were open to WWE to be more protective of Cass with the finish, is the main reason Bully thinks WWE may be backing off the former AEW star.

"Listen, if Big Cass hits a big, huge Mafia Kick on Austin Theory that sends Austin Theory over the top rope, and when Big Cass turns around there's Je'Von Evans with one of those monster springboard cutters off the top rope, and...he catches Big Cass with the 1-2-3, okay, I'm cool with that," Bully said. "Je'Von Evans picked up a seven foot...the tallest, biggest man in the WWE that's not named Omos, put him in a Torture Rack, swung him around, hit a neckbreaker, and pinned him. That's a strong victory on a large man who just returned to the company."
