WWE NXT Viewership & Ratings Report: 9/8/2026

Wrestling viewership data has been thrown for a loop again thanks to more changes from Nielsen, and so far those changes appear to be paying dividends for "WWE NXT." WWE's third brand started the month of September with a bang, and the good news has continued, albeit with some decreases involved. Wrestlenomics and SpoilerTV report that the September 8 edition of "NXT" drew 714K total viewers, along with 0.12 in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

Both numbers were down from September 1, largely because of the strong numbers that episode drew. While the drop with total viewership was only down 7% from 768K, 18-49 saw a slightly more substantial slide, falling 29% from 0.17. A sign that things have improved for "NXT" were how the numbers held up against the four week average, with total viewership up 7% from 668K, while the demo remained steady. 

As for year over year numbers, the results were mixed, in large part due to "NXT's" iffy performance throughout the rest of Q3. Because of that, numbers for both total viewership and 18-49 were down compared to Q3 2025, with the former category dropping a mere 1% from the devilish 666K "NXT" averaged last year, while 18-49 was down 29% from 0.14. Things may change thanks to "NXT's" strong September start, with the show already showing improvements compared to September 2025, with total viewership up 15% from 647K, while the demo rose 15% from 0.13.

The September 8 "NXT" opened with a defense of the NXT Women's Champion, with Kelani Jordan retaining her championship by defeating Jaida Parker. The episode also featured the in-ring return of The Creed Brothers, who defeated Noam Darr and Romeo Moreno, and a trios main event that saw Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars, and Tony D'Angelo defeat Cruz Montana, EK Prosper, and Keanu Carver, allowing Rook, Shugars, and D'Angelo to move on to a three way match one week later, where Rook emerged victorious to earn an NXT Championship shot.
