WWE Reveals Latest Group Of NXT Recruits Including Aalyah Mysterio

WWE revealed its newest class of recruits reporting to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Thursday, officially confirming WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio's daughter, Aalyah Gutierrez, as part of the class. The elder Mysterio had confirmed his daughter had been training at the PC, and is currently going by her real name as she does so.

In addition to Gutierrez, a WWE.com report revealed six other stars in the class, including Cara Brown, Katie Reynolds, Zoe Sager, Ana da Silva, Jackson Goonrey, and Tyran Tuckey. WWE revealed a little more about the talent, like Reynolds, who is a former TNA referee once known as Alice Lane.

Sager is a former WWE ID talent who has had dark matches already on "WWE NXT." Brown is a former amateur wrestler at Cumberland University, and da Silva is a former track and field standout from Brazil, who specialized in shot put at the University of Georgia.

Goonrey and Tuckey are talents from the Australian independent scene, who worked as a tag team known as The Dropouts. Goonrey is a former competitor on Australian "Survivor: Redemption," and WWE described Tuckey as the "most in-demand independent wrestler" in his native country.

The news of WWE's newest class of recruits comes nearly three weeks after a slew of releases and departures from the Performance Center. Wendy Choo, PJ Vasa, and Jasper Troy were among those released. Top names have also recently departed the company from the main roster, the most recent being former NXT Champion and now-former "WWE SmackDown" star Ilja Dragunov.
