Rush Shuts Down Injury Speculation In The Midst Of AEW Absence

AEW star Rush hasn't been seen on television since July 1, causing many fans to theorize that his absence from the ring is due to a legitimate injury. However, Rush put those rumors to rest on Sunday, taking to social media to reveal that he is completely healthy and is prepared to step back in the ring at any given moment.

"During my time with AEW I have only been injured ONCE, and one time during Continental Classic I tweaked my knee and medical team advised I recover. I do my best to be part of every event, but any news you hear about injury prone is false. I even popped my elbow back in during a match to continue to perform. I train in Mexico at the gym and in ring, I study English daily, and study tapes, I do everything possible to be at my best and READY for any opportunity. Do not believe false narratives, EL TORO BLANCO is healthy and ready always, Monday to Monday. And REMEMBER...if you mess with the bull......"

With injury out of the question, AEW may simply not have anything to offer Rush creatively at the moment, but that hasn't stopped the Mexican star from wanting to stay committed to the company, as he just signed a contract extension in July. However, the same cannot be said for Rush's brothers, Dralistico in AEW and Dragon Lee in WWE, with news breaking last week that both of their contracts are set to expire before the end of this year.

Rush defeated Jordan Cruz on "AEW Collision" in his most recent appearance inside the squared circle, but arguably his biggest match of the year came against MJF this past June when he challenged for the AEW World Title. Shortly afterwards, Rush competed alongside Dralistico and Sammy Guevara against The Conglomeration for the AEW World Trios Titles, but La Faccion Ingobernable failed to capture the gold.
