Eric Bischoff Believes WWE Has A 'Plan B' In Mind For WrestleMania In Saudi Arabia

With tensions between the United States and Iran intensifying more and more each day, countries like Saudi Arabia are left standing in the middle of this conflict. This past weekend, Yemen's Houthi rebels launched a major missile and drone attack that targeted Saudi Arabia's capital of Riyadh, its airport the King Khalid International, and the port city of Yanbu. That said, uncertainty remains at an all-time high now, especially since WWE's show of shows, WrestleMania 43, is supposed to be held in Riyadh next spring. With these rising tensions, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff predicts that WWE and its parent company, TKO, have a backup plan in store.

"I can't imagine that they don't," the former senior vice president of WCW said on his "83 Weeks" podcast. "It's a big company with a lot of smart people. ... Yes, there are realities that are geopolitically that we have to all kind of recognize, as it affects our business, even if it potentially affects our business in a situation like this. We've got all your eggs in a big basket called WrestleMania. Yeah, you got to have a plan B. And certainly, everybody's smart enough to figure out why."

The official dates of when this two-night extravaganza will be held has still not been revealed yet. What has been established about this upcoming show so far, is that WWE is "already across the creative," according to a statement made by its President Nick Khan from earlier this month.

Even though the U.S. State Department has strongly advised Americans to reconsider traveling to Saudi Arabia at this time, WWE has not canceled its plans on flying over there for this year's Crown Jewel PLE on Saturday, November 7, as of this report.
