AEW's Jim Ross Offers Update On Latest Health Struggles

WWE Hall of Fame commentator, and current voice in AEW, Jim Ross has had his share of health struggles over the years, including brain surgery as recently as this summer. On an episode of his "Grilling JR" podcast, he revealed he's once again undergone biopsies at a dermatologist's office for moles the doctor called "concerning."

Ross was first diagnosed with skin cancer in 2021 and underwent treatment. He revealed on the podcast that his daughter urged him to get moles checked out on his back, and described the uncomfortable process.

"I was told that I had like seven or eight moles on my back that they were concerned about," he said. "'Well what we have to do today is numb your back around all those areas that you have multiple moles, some are very tiny, there's a couple good size ones in there... and we'll numb you up,' which creates an opportunity for an injection. My poor fat a** old body is so tired of injections, because it's been like that all summer... So, they numbed me up. I was miserable and cranky. I was a cranky f****** old man."

Ross said he should have the results of the biopsies in around 10 days. He said he's already gone through 22 radiation treatments for skin cancer on his ankle, and that wound has not yet healed, which is going to require a visit to another doctor.

"I'm going to do all I can to get 100 percent," he said. "I don't know if I'll ever be 100 percent again, but I'm going to be close. And me close to 100 percent, and on top of my game, I'm a bad man."
