Kofi Recalls 'Incognito' Travel To AEW All In: 'It Was The Worst-Kept Secret'
Kofi and Austin Creed are now fully integrated into the All Elite Wrestling roster following their debut as The New Level at AEW All In London 2026, but while their debut was meant to be a surprise, in reality it was anything but.
Rumors and reports had been circulating for months that the men formerly known as The New Day in WWE would be heading to AEW, it was just a matter of when they would show up. Both Kofi and Creed sat down with Renee Paquette recently for an episode of "AEW Close-Up," where Kofi admitted that despite trying to be incognito in the days leading up to All In London, the debut was the worst kept secret in wrestling.
"24 hours or 48 hours leading up was just wild because a lot of people don't realize even though I feel like it was the worst kept secret right?" Kofi said, revealing that even taking a long-haul flight for the first time in several months felt weird to him. "I'd gone to the airport to get the rental car to go to upstate New York and then I realized like I hadn't been in the airport and it was unfamiliar to be in the airport. This is a place that I hadn't been in so long, so that was weird."
The two men stayed in a hotel 45 minutes away from the airport and separately from the rest of the AEW roster to avoid suspicion, but even that didn't help Kofi and Creed from staying hidden. "I had my hoodie on too, expect I was wearing a lime green Tiffany green suit, full jumpsuit, not incognito, but I had the hoodie on. I'm just like 'What is going on?' We didn't see anybody though."
Creed rounded off by saying that they both went to Wembley Stadium the day before All In London to sign their contracts and meet Tony Khan for the first time, with Creed also noting that it was cool having his family there as well.
