WWE SummerSlam Talent Reveals How He Became Minihausen, Wants Match With Hornswoggle
The Minihausens first appeared alongside Danhausen at WWE Backlash this year, where they entered through a cloning box. They again came to Danhausen's aid at WWE SummerSlam, evening the odds when JD McDonagh interfered during his "Human Monies on a Pole" match against Dominik Mysterio.
Stand-up comedian Brad Williams recently appeared on the "Battleground Podcast," where he commented on being one of the Minihausens. According to Williams, the opportunity came about after he proclaimed that he wanted to be a Minihausen during a podcast, and that WWE caught wind of this. "I got a call from WWE on Thursday, and SummerSlam started on Saturday," Williams said. "They were just like, 'Do you want to be a Minihausen?' I was like, 'Yes.'" Williams then said WWE got him a plane ticket, and he flew out to appear at SummerSlam.
Williams compared the experience to being a clown, mainly because of the makeup, and claimed that there were a few people who knew it was him in costume. "A few people who saw me were like: 'Wait! Are you Brad Williams?' And I was just like: 'How do you know that? Are you just like — you see any dwarf, you think they're Brad Williams?'" he recalled. Williams then expressed that he might have scared the people on his flight because he practiced the voice on the way there, but he recalled the experience as amazing.
Brad Williams wants to step into the ring in a match against Hornswoggle
Outside of WWE, Brad Williams has been the official host and "director of laughs" for Chris Jericho's Rock 'N Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise, where he had an in-ring interaction with Hornswoggle. Because of this, he wants to have a full-fledged match against the former WWE star.
"I would love to do that, but we're only going to do that if we make a ton of money, 'cause we would," he proclaimed. "You just advertise 'Brad Williams versus Hornswoggle,' that's the freaking mega powers exploding, that's Rock-Hogan, that's like up there!" Williams then noted that he doesn't think it would make sense going up against anyone else.
The comedian also recalled how the Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect SummerSlam match was one of his favorites, and added that he's ticked an item off of his bucket list. "It just gives me a greater appreciation, when you see the wrestlers backstage. I got to hang out with Big E and watch [SummerSlam] with him," he added. "The insight is just so much cooler."
