Jim Ross Says Tommy End Will Find Work But 'Needs To Get Off The Drama Train'
When one door closes, another one opens. And in the case of the returning Tommy End, he's walked in and out of several big doors since 2025. From leaving AEW in late January 2025 to rejoining WWE in April 2025, then being released for a second time from the Stamford-based company this past April after WrestleMania 42, it seems End is trying to get his foot in any door where he's assured he can stay for a while. Showing his unwavering support for quite some time now, Hall of Famer Jim Ross thinks the world of End, and believes he'll make it just about anywhere. However, Ross wants End to keep his eyes and mind forward, rather than dwell on his past hardships.
"He'll find work because he's a hell of a hand," the voice of AEW said on his "Grilling JR" podcast. "He's got a unique look, and can have great matches with a variety of talents, as a big face or a heel. So, I'm a big fan of his work. So, he won't have a problem, in my opinion, finding more work...But he needs to get off the drama train, for sure."
Last month, End candidly revealed that after receiving countless promises on where his WWE career would go for a second time, he felt that those opportunities fell through the cracks, indicating that his second run from April 2025 to April 2026 was "a dud." Now a free agent, there are other promotions End could sign with, including TNA Wrestling, which Ross' co-host Conrad Thompson mentioned. Though he isn't too familiar with TNA's programming, Ross doesn't rule out the possibility of End going there.
"Might be," Ross stated. "This is going to sound real negative, but I don't watch TNA. Not for any reason that I want to share. There's no reason...I don't know when that show airs."
