Last Monday on "WWE Raw," Big Cass arguably had his best match since returning to the red brand when he fought Dragon Lee in singles action, but the result of the bout has led Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer to believe that WWE doesn't believe in the former AEW star.

Speaking on the "Wrestling Observer Radio," Meltzer explained that Cass would've been positioned to win on Monday if WWE was serious about pushing him, and that he may need to reunite with his former tag team partner in order to succeed on the main roster going forward.

"It was by far the best thing that Cass has done since he got there, as far as the match goes. Unfortunately, the end result also tells you that, they would never let Cass if they had plans for him lose to Dragon Lee. That is not in their MO at all. But he did. I think Cass may need Enzo [Amore], 'cause they've given up on him as a single, which is a lot quicker than I thought they would."

Earlier this year, it was rumored that Enzo Amore was possibly returning to the company, with reports citing that the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Originally, it seemed more likely for Amore to return to WWE over Cass, but ever since the latter appeared on "Raw" in August, talks of the "Certified G" joining his former tag team partner have tapered off. Over the past two months, Cass has mainly been featured in the mid-card scene and feuding with Je'Von Evans, but has only wrestled in five matches since his return.
