TNA Matt Hardy has discussed the possibility of continuing to wrestle even after his brother Jeff Hardys's retirement.

Matt and Jeff Hardy have had their own respective singles careers, but the brothers are best known for wrestling together as a team. With their careers seemingly winding down, Matt recently spoke on "The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy" podcast about the topic and how his brother may leave the wrestling ring earlier than him.

"I feel like Jeff, if he can get his music going and he's very committed to it and he's very passionate, he might have a couple more years left, you know, at the most. He might try and segue out. And who knows, I might be just someone who is like a kind of a utility guy in some ways where I could work if you need me to do something in some little special angle that is meaningful and that's worthwhile," he said. "I could be someone that is also working backstage that is helping you know put matches together and come up with creative whatever it may be. I think so, yeah, I would [work alone]."

Hardy explained how it's tougher to stay in shape and healthy as he gets older, but passionately stated that he won't let go of his dream of wrestling that easily.

"I'm going to just try and take care of myself. I'm just going to try and stay as healthy as possible," he added. "You know, it's challenging. The older you get, the harder it gets, the tougher it gets. But yeah, while I can do this, this was my dream, this was my passion, and I want to do it as long as I can. It just is what it is. And I love doing it."

Jeff has been focusing more on his music career in recent years, learning more about the business and performing more shows. Matt, on the other hand, is eager to transition to a backstage role once he hangs up his wrestling boots.
