WWE's Lash Legend Explains How She & Trick Williams Began Dating

Trick Williams and Lash Legend are enjoying life as a married couple on the road with WWE. Once upon a time, though, they found themselves worlds apart, with Legend intentionally trying to maintain a wide distance between them.

On a recent episode of "What's Your Story," Legend admitted that she initially friend-zoned Williams after they met at the WWE Performance Center.

"I remember the first time I saw him, and I was like, 'Oh no, no, no,'" Legend recalled. "He was my type. I remember feeling that feeling, and I'm like, 'No, I'm gonna stay away.' But then I got to know him, but I was like, 'Oh no, I got to stay away.' I'm trying to stay focused, plus I got my own thing going on outside of work. So I was like, 'No.' But then I got to know him as a person, truly as a person. In all of my relationships, romantically, I've never got to be friends with somebody first. So I really got to figure out his character, his morals, his values, his spirit, his soul. Just really get to know him on a work level, just professional. I was like, 'Man, he really is a good person,' and I really liked that about him. But again, friendzoned for two years."

Legend's account matches up with one previously told by Williams. When detailing their relationship origins, Williams noted that he built up the courage to talk to the former basketball player after rumors of their potential romantic fumes spread throughout the PC. Legend responded by placing him in the friendzone, but eventually, she claims he won her over as something more.

Years later, the pair got engaged. In June 2026, they then officially tied the knot in Jamaica. Both will now compete at the 2026 Money in the Bank premium live event, slated to take place in New Orleans later tonight.
