In recent years, AEW's Don Callis Family has ballooned to 15 members, including Callis himself. Based on that, it may seem like Callis has loose restrictions on who he's allowed to join the faction, but appearing on "Poisonrana," Callis claimed that he has a set of parameters he assesses for any potential entrant.

"I think physical potential is one thing — a lot of people have that," Callis said. "Really, what I look for is a mental mindset and an emotional stability in a talent."

Callis referred to Josh Alexander as an example, stating that Alexander was a bit lost before he made his way into the Family. Specifically, Callis believes Alexander had "imposter syndrome," but his membership in the Family has fixed this issue.

"Now he's a part of something — now he's got a support system," Callis continued before running down a list of his accomplishments, most of which consisted of championships held by members of the faction, which Callis claimed he himself was responsible for. By aligning himself with the group, Alexander has put himself in a position to compete, according to Callis.

"The talent just in my faction, in my group, in my Family, is unprecedented in professional wrestling," Callis stated. "So what happens now, a guy like Josh, who's always been 'big man on campus,' walks into that and he's got to compete now with Kyle Fletcher, who might be the best wrestler in the world — with Konosuke Takeshita, who might be the best wrestler in the world."

Callis later claimed that there are even more prospects associated with the Family that the public isn't yet aware of. Unfortunately for anyone still looking to join the DCF, Callis stated that with the faction's numbers as high as they are, he's not actively looking for any more recruits at this time.
