Out of all the rivalries and feuds that have happened in AEW, arguably none of them have been filled with as much hate as the one between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page. Their feud has seen Page drink Strickland's blood and burn down his childhood home, while Strickland has broken in to Page's home while his family have been asleep and choked Page with a steel chain, and AEW fans still can't get enough of it.

The feud has now reached the AEW trios division, and despite already being considered a classic rivalry by fans already, Strickland stated in an interview with "The Takedown on Sports Illustrated" that he wants the feud to be remembered as even more than just a great AEW story.

"I hope one day it goes down as one of the greatest in wrestling history," Strickland said. "I want it to be that big and that important and that impactful you know? Like when two guys tag in, and the entire arena stands up like as a wave of people standing up to see what happens next, that's when you know you've got something special, and that's when you know like that doesn't come around very often."

Strickland went on to say that there's a vulnerability that he and Page share as individuals that makes the feud so captivating, with both men knowing which buttons to press on the other man. "We wear our hearts on our sleeves and we exploit the emotions from one another. We know what makes each other tick, we know what p***** them off and pushes it past that boiling level. We know it and the fans know it too. Now we have it to the point they're anticipating it, they're anticipating when the dynamite actually goes off because the fuse has already been lit, when does it actually blow up? That's where we can like take them on that ride with us no matter where we go."
