On October 3, Laynie Luck's reign as WWE ID Women's Champion came to an end. According to a new report, so has her time in the WWE ID program.

Fightful Select reports that Luck's WWE contract is set to expire this week, with no plans for it to be renewed. Luck herself later confirmed her pending departure on social media, writing "My turn to be the hottest free agent. I am a lucky girl and everything will work out for me."

In November 2025, Luck became the second ever WWE ID Women's Champion by conquering a six-woman elimination match, which also included future "WWE Evolve" stars Airica Demia and Notorious Mimi (aka Anya Rune and Sloane Jacobs). Kylie Rae, the inaugural WWE Women's ID Champion, had vacated the title shortly before due to pregnancy.

Across her 320-day reign, Luck successfully defended the title at a number of independent wrestling promotions, such as Cody Rhodes' Nightmare Factory, Beyond, Uprising Women Athletes, and Future Stars of Wrestling. Her latest title defense pitted her against "Lady Bird" Monica Monroe at WWE Hall of Famer Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion in Texas. Monroe defeated Luck, an 11-year veteran of the squared circle, to claim the title and a WWE ID contract of her own.

Fightful Select noted that sources within WWE viewed the decision to not renew Luck's WWE ID contract a "surprise." Indie promoters reportedly praised Luck for her WWE ID run, which saw her willing work with any opponent and lead matches if necessary. Luck's immediate post-WWE ID steps are unclear.
