The stars of All Elite Wrestling will once again be traveling south of the border before the year is out as AEW will be bringing one of its signature TV specials to Mexico this December.

It has been announced that the 2026 Winter is Coming editions of "AEW Dynamite" and "AEW Collision" will take place at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. The initial announcement was made by FOX Sports MX, which confirmed that the show will take place on Wednesday, December 9 with "Dynamite" airing live and "Collision" being taped to air on Saturday, December 12. The show will mark the third time that AEW has held an event in Mexico, with the previous two shows being the 2025 and 2026 editions of AEW Grand Slam Mexico, which both took place inside the iconic Arena Mexico venue in the country's capital.

Tickets for the show, which can be purchased through SuperBoletos, will go on general sale on Friday, October 16, with a special pre-sale taking place on Tuesday, October 13. As for what fans can expect for this year's Winter is Coming special, no matches have been officially signed at the time of writing. However, what is confirmed is that matches in the 2026 Continental Classic tournament will take place in Monterrey, with the tournament becoming an annual tradition during the final months of AEW's calendar year.

Winter is Coming hosted some of the biggest moments in "Dynamite" history since it was first introduced back in 2020. Sting made his debut on the inaugural special, which also saw Kenny Omega win his first AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley. Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson wrestled to a 60-minute draw on the 2021 special, Toni Storm returned to the company on the 2024 special, and it was last year where Samoa Joe defended the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston, while The Babes of Wrath became the first-ever AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions.
