Rumors of a WWE reunion between former "WWE NXT" stars Enzo Amore and Big Cass began circulating in May when Amore was spotted at the WWE Performance Center. It was Cass, however, who made his return to the company as a heel, after leaving AEW, in August.

Fans have since been wondering when, or if, Amore will make his return, as Cass has been seemingly directionless on "WWE Raw." On "Busted Open Radio," Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca pondered what's next for Cass, and if that involves his former tag team partner.

"The first thing that comes to mind if you bring Enzo in now is Big Cass is a failed experiment," Bully Ray said.

LaGreca said WWE needs to bring in someone to remind Big Cass of who he is, as Cass only has one victory on "Raw." Bully Ray argued that he doesn't know if the crowd would remember them enough to recite their old schtick that got them over in the first place.

"If they were to bring in Enzo now, it would be like, 'We need to salvage this guy, and the only way we can salvage him is putting him back with this other guy,'" he said. "When Enzo and Cass first hit the scene, to me, they were equals. Enzo, the guy that can talk. Cass, the guy that can kick your a**. I wouldn't see them as equals again."

The hosts agreed that it may not be possible to capture the "lightning in a bottle" that the team once had. LaGreca said it's a different audience now, and some fans will remember the team, but as Bully Ray said, the rest of the WWE universe "would need a reprogramming."
