TNA is living in a whole new world now coming out of Bound for Glory, with new TNA World Heavyweight, Knockouts, and International Champions in the form of Leon Slater, Indi Hartwell, and Jason Hotch. But before that could happen, there was one final episode of "TNA Impact" taped for October 8, one that showed there was some added excitement heading into TNA's marquee show of the year. Wrestlenomics and SpoilerTV report that the episode drew 214K total viewers, and an 0.03 in the still all too important 18-49 demographic.

By TNA's standards, this was a good week for their flagship TV show, with both total viewership and the demo up from the October 1 episode. Total viewership saw slight gains, rising 11% from a 182K, while 18-49 was up 50% from 0.02. There was less movement against the four week average, though both categories remained steady, with total viewership up 3% from an average of 207K, while the key demo remained level.

As the go-home edition of "Impact" prior to Bound for Glory, TNA focused on setting up final pieces for some key matches, while also showcasing titles that wouldn't be defended on the PPV. This included the show being headlined by a TNA World Tag Team Championship defense, with Ryan Nemeth and then TNA World Heavyweight Champion Nic Nemeht successfully defending the titles against The Hardys.

Earlier in the show, AJ Francis, Brian Myers, Joe Alonzo, and the Home Town Man would defeat Bear Bronson, Elijah, Frankie Kazarian, and Trey Miguel in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Random Draw Advantage Eight Man Tag Team Match. The advantage earned by the winning team proved to be a non-factor, as Kazarian would ultimately walk away the winner of the Call Your Shot gauntlet, winning it for a second straight year.
