Last week on "AEW Dynamite", the Bang Bang Gang aligned with The Dogs after attacking the Death Riders and kicking Gabe Kidd out of the latter faction. On "Collision", AEW's newest faction revealed they were The Last Outfit. The name caused a lot of confusion on social media, especially those who didn't realize that outfit has multiple meanings such as in the military and the mob (Al Capone's mob was called The Outfit).

Just hours later, AEW posted a promo from Jay White and revealed the faction had a new name. White said there's a new sheriff in town and they're coming for the Death Riders.

"You are blessed with the privilege of witnessing the sickest, the slickest, the quickest draws in the West. Top shelf high rollers, golden gun slingers, some dirty dogs, your Collision cowboys. We are the last outfit capable of slicing out the cancer that is Jon Moxley and the Death Riders from the heart of AEW. We are...The Cut," White explained.

This isn't the first time that Tony Khan has made quick decisions in response to the fan reaction in the building and online. In May 2025, Mina Shirakawa debuted a new theme song. The social media reaction was mostly negative and following Shirakawa's win, her theme was changed back to her original one. Khan admitted social media reaction is what made him change it back.
