Mick Foley Says AEW Star Had Career-Defining Performance At Blood & Guts
While he might not know the match first-hand, there's arguably no one in professional wrestling who knows more about Blood and Guts than Mick Foley. The WWE Hall of Famer was in attendance for the 2026 Blood and Guts edition of "AEW Dynamite" on November 4, even interviewing one of the teams before the men's match took place in the main event. However, it's Foley's experience in such extreme matches that made him appreciate one performance in the women's match more than most.
Foley took to Instagram after the show had finished to shower praise on Megan Bayne, who was the first woman to enter the Blood and Guts match for the ladies, and ended up bleeding for the entire match. Foley was so impressed with Bayne that he called her work in the match a "career defining performance."

Foley wrote; "Years from now, when we look back at the career of Megan Bayne this will be one of the matches that defines it." The WWE Hall of Famer has been a fan of both Bayne and her Divine Dominion tag team partner, Lena Kross, since he arrived in AEW back in May, and made sure to give Bayne her props when she arrived backstage by bowing down to her.
Despite Bayne's performance, her team couldn't get the job done at the end of the night. Bayne, Kross, Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Persephone were all defeated by Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter, Alex Windsor, Willow Nightingale, and Queen Aminata. Statlander got the win for her team by forcing Hart to surrender with a little help from Hayter, who both wrapped Hart in barbed wire and locked her in dueling submissions. Everyone in the match was bloodied, but according to a recent report from Bryan Alvarez, no one suffered any lasting injuries coming out of it.
