Kyle Fletcher Apologizes For Recent Comments About AEW All In 2025

AEW's Kyle Fletcher has apologized for recent comments he made about AEW All In: Texas being one of his worst days, the very same day Adam Cole announced his career-threatening injury.

Fletcher was to face Cole in a singles match for the TNT title at AEW All In: Texas last July, but an injury to Cole — which happened in his match with Fletcher — forced Cole to pull out of the clash, which eventually became a four-way. Fletcher recently said that the change in direction of the match made it a bitter pill to swallow, comments which haven't gone down well in the pro wrestling community. Fletcher, in a new interview with Adrian Hernandez has apologized for those comments.

"That comment that I made the other day, I was very upset with myself for the way I worded it. I would like to apologize for the way I spoke and the words that I used. I think the words I used are a bit insensitive, saying it was one of the worst days of my life," he said.

Fletcher stated that Cole's injury is something that Cole should address and it wasn't his story to tell. He reiterated that it was one of the worst days of his life, but this time gave more background as to why it felt that way.

"Truthfully, that was one of the worst days of my life," Fletcher revealed. "I've tried my best to stay away from talking about it, but one of the reasons it was one of the worst days of my life is because, think about it, I had to watch someone that I admire very much and I look up to stand in the ring and cry and basically say that he may never wrestle again. And then I had to go out into the ring and perform, basically knowing that it was possibly my fault and that everybody in the arena knew it was my fault."

The AEW TNT Champion detailed how some people had asked him to use the fact that he injured Cole to generate more heat in promos, which he wasn't comfortable doing.
